As a Gold Member aged 13+ and having participated in 3+ productions (summer or annual season productions), you have the exclusive opportunity where this year, your place in the 2025 Senior Cast is invitational, meaning you do not need to audition. To secure your place, you simply need to confirm your participation by Fri 28 March, by enrolling via the link below, so that we can send your contract.
Important Dates:
Friday 28 March - Submit enrolment form by this date, so that we can send you your contract
Friday 4 April - 2025 membership deposit payment of $200 due via bank transfer (before auditions open to the public on 6 April)
Sunday 6 April - Auditions for the remaining cast positions
Friday 25th April - Final payment of $520 due, prior to season commencement, via bank transfer
Saturday 26th April & Sunday 27th April - Casting & First rehearsals
Sunday 4 May - Sunday 10 August - excluding Sunday 13 July (break), weekly workshop rehearsals
Wednesday 13 & Thursday 14 August, Rehearsals and Performances at His Majesty’s Theatre

Essence of Sleeping Beauty transcends the traditional boundaries of the fairytale, bringing new life to an age-old story, focusing on deeper themes of time, destiny, and transformation. This production distills the ballet’s core emotions - innocence, enchantment, and awakening - through a blend of classical, neoclassical, lyrical and contemporary styles.
The Sleeping Beauty does not merely awaken from a spell, her journey becomes one of self-discovery, her essence shifting, evolving, and emerging with every movement. The production redefines what it means to be awakened, exploring themes of inner growth and personal transformation. In this interpretation, the beauty of Sleeping Beauty is not just in her external awakening but in her internal evolution, capturing the essence of human experience through movement and emotion.
Essence moves beyond traditional form to convey profound emotions, themes, and human experiences. In Essence, movement is not just about form but about intent, how a gesture can express longing, how a sequence can symbolise transformation, or how stillness can hold as much power as motion. It’s about stripping ballet to its most fundamental purpose: storytelling through movement, where every step, breath, and interaction communicates something beyond words.
